The Bare Facts – Days 38 & 39

This week, our new AmeriCorps members really got to work, scraping and painting all three activity rooms and also doing some sanding & painting of exhibits components.

They accomplished an amazing amount – what a team!

Estrella was disrobed and disassembled yesterday afternoon in preparation for carpet replacement. It was an extensive – and fascinating! – process.

And this morning, the marionettes were moved and carpet was quickly pulled up – all of the first floor and much of the second were carpet-less before 9am. The Museum is oddly bare and echo-y.

(Even Dan Butterworth seems surprised!)

New carpet to come next week...

It looks so weird without carpet!
